| Why update?
I'm currently sitting in a classroom, yes its 1am-ish on a Friday night but hey...what’s cooler? Anyways, life if interestingly awesome. I'm learning, I'm able to use what I learn and see if it works, by this I mean my church choirs are some really WONDERFUL people and have been some of my best teachers so far, even though they don't know it. I wish that "everyone" could feel how it feels to be immersed into a "body of sound" into a new world, a place where you don't care about love, yourself, others, that you need to do laundry or anything else in life, but that you can sit there and think: “Wow if I die right now, I DON’T CARE”, because you have done something in your life that has fulfilled a void in your soul. Your soul, which I've learned can be my inner teacher, my true being, the hardest "person" to trust, your worst enemy and always your best friend. To know that even though you have built up walls inside of you, it doesn't matter, it matters that you should be true to yourself and others despite how much we have to lie to get through the world we live in we are forgiven by our Creator, and given so much more instead, if we don't heed the opportunities we are given we gain nothing, but LOSE SO MUCH! Family, Friends, dogs, cats, emotions, thoughts, strokes of genius, come and go but that time when your body, your SOUL can just speak for itself without you saying any words, that is when you can think, 'something went right.' Bach wrote spectacular cantatas, Mahler extravagant emotional symphonies, me...the jury hasn't come to a verdict for now, but what I do know is that I'm tired of living so many lies, being 'fake,' unfortunately it has become habitual for all of us to tell small fibs all the time, I'm sure I will continue to do so but at the same time we have to say that our life is about both how we feel about ourselves and how we affect how others feel about us, 'even in solitude we must live in a community, in the same way in community we must live partially in solitude (taken from Parker Palmer) What happens from day to day will happen, we cant force the outcome but we can make better decisions that lead to a possible better outcome. | | |
